Stove Top Cooking: 1. Measure 2-1/2 cups of water into a saucepan with a tight fitting lid and bring to a boll. Add 1-2 tsp of butter or olive oil (optional). Salt to taste. 2. Stir in 1 cup of Organic Long Grain Brown Rice. 3. Cover saucepan with a tight fitting lid. Lower the heat and simmer for 35-40 minutes or until the rice is tender and all of the water is absorbed. Remove from the heat and allow to sit, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. A rice cooker may be used with the same rice-to-water ratio. Yields approximately 3 cups of Organic Long Grain Rice. For softer rice use more water, for firmer rice use less water. Microwave: 1.
